Ultrasound Pictures of Max!

So I know these 3D ultrasound pictures are kind of strange. I don't always like seeing them on other people's blogs, hence the reason I probably won't post them on my blog. But when it happens to be your own little one you're looking at, suddenly they are kind of fun. Joe and I went to an ultrasound yesterday morning (30 weeks along) because at my regular appointment earlier this week my doctor said I was measuring a little small and she wanted to check things out. Of course we were a little worried (you just can't help it!). The way the ultrasound tech was acting was also a little worrisome and she said she "wasn't supposed to tell us" what she was seeing. So we worried some more. But when I finally talked to my doctor, she said that everything looks good and the little boy is measuring just fine. She'll just keep monitoring me to make sure my belly keeps growing (and believe me, it's growing!).

Here are the pictures of our little guy. I know you can't see much, but I still think he's adorable ;) And just so you know, that's the placenta that his face is smashed up against.

So what do you think?? Only 9 1/2 more weeks until we really get to see what he looks like!

Grammy & Grandpa's Day EIGHT

WOW....I can't believe you've been gone 8 days already! I miss you but it has gone by fast. This morning we stayed home with Grandpa and Grammy went to Katie's cross-country meet up in American Fork. For part of the race they had to run over hay bales!
I bet Katie thought it was pretty neat to run with the temple in the background!
We made sugar cookies after Grammy got home. It was LOTS of fun. First we rolled out the dough, then we used fun cookie cutters, then we pulled away the extra dough (I really like doing that part), then I put sprinkles on the cookies (I really like doing that too). Yummm, they were good.

Is my little sister a monkey? She sure likes bananas.
I was so excited about going to the BYU game. I've been waiting for day to wear the cheerleader
dress and go to the game. We had a picnic before the game. It was really hot, so I was really glad
when our seats got to be in the shade. It was fun to see great grandma & grandpa again too.

Tonight I got to go on another long bike ride around the block again too. I told Grammy that I wanted to
go to football again tomorrow...but then she told me that we were going to airport to get my
mommy and daddy! I got so excited. I love you and can't wait to hug you. Love, Tyler

Grammy & Grandpa's Day SEVEN

Hi Mommy & Daddy....Grammy says having us around has got her thinking more again about what it is really like to be a kid like us. A new day comes and we don't really have much of a clue as to what the day will bring...we go with the flow for the most part...and she says she's glad that we are easy going like that. Planning ahead, time management etc. is an important adult skill but there is a lot to be said for "living in the moment".
Speaking of moments, we had some fun ones today. We played with bubbles, colored, played outside, went to Heber City to Swiss Days (Kai wasn't very happy there....it was way too hot).

Even though sometimes Grammy misses her big backyard, she says there is a lot of good to be said about her small and managable yard now. We can't get lost or hurt! So in some ways it's a better yard for little grandkids :-) Love you! Tyler

Grammy & Grandpa's Day SIX

Hi mommy & daddy! We sure had a busy day today. Grammy took me and Kai to the zoo! It was really fun. Kai and I each got an umbrella! (Umbrella starts with "U"). We rode the train and got to ride the carousel TWICE!

They had a white alligator that they call the "Ghost of the Bayou".
There are only 9 of them in the world that they know of.

Later that night Grammy tried taking pictures of me and Kai. That didn't go so good. Kai was pretty tired from our
long day, and as we all know, I'm not much for posing for pictures! But we did have fun at the park!

Grammy & Grandpa's Day FIVE

Hi Mommy & Daddy! We had ANOTHER good day. Kai took a morning nap again, so I got to do projects before I even got dressed. I sure do like all sorts of projects. Grammy said that I will really love Kindergarten when my time comes. I did some good writing work....

and I really liked making these pictures by matching the numbers.

We got to go to the park in the afternoon. I asked Grammy why they have so MANY parks here! She said it was because they have so MANY kids. We have gone to a different park every day!

After we picked up Katie from cross-country we got to go out for ice cream. Grammy & I are working on a book of pictures for every letter of the alphabet and we needed an ice cream picture! I had rainbow sherbet.

Grammy thinks Kai is working on getting a new tooth...because she is drooling alot.

It's really fun to play on the bridge at the house next door. I've ridden my bike up and down it lots of times and it is fun to just run back and forth too.

Tonight I got to go on a bike ride with Grammy after Kai went to bed. Grandpa is having 'vertigo'....whatever that is....but he can't move around too much today, but he can still read me stories! Here I am riding off into the sunset....GOOD NIGHT! Love you!

Grammy & Grandpa's Day FOUR

Hi Mommy & Daddy! We had another good day! Grammy was kind of disappointed because Kai needed a morning nap so we didn't get to go to the Dinosaur museum. But, since she was sleeping, I got to PAINT and that was lots of fun. Grammy says I'm really good at concentrating at projects like this.

We picked up Katie at school about 12:30 because she had a cross-country race to get ready for. We got chicken bowls at Hogi Yogi and had a picnic in the grass. Turned out though, it was a dumb thing for Katie to eat before a race, now she knows better for next time!

The race was at Scera Park....3.2 miles....110 girls from about 7 schools....I was very good and stayed really close to Grammy while she carried Kai from spot to spot. Here we are waiting at the finish line for Katie.

I guess Katie did great....Grammy was really happy for her. To tell you the truth, by that time Kai and I had gotten a little grumpy. We had been looking at the playground for almost an hour waiting to go play, but we had to wait until the race was over and Katie was over the "I'm going to throw up" stage.

Grammy wanted to take a picture of the three of us for the Christmas letter with Katie in her cross-country uniform...but I'm afraid that didn't happen. We did get to play in the great playgound while the boys ran their race and stuff.

Then we all went to Cafe Rio for dinner and Katie let us share part of her Jamba Juice.

Of course we had baths...look at Kai...isn't she just concentrating so hard! I got to go on a bike ride with Katie while Kai took her bath. We went ALL the way around the block. It took kind of a long time, but it was really fun and I'm getting to be good bike rider! Love you ....Tyler

Grammy & Grandpa's Day THREE

Hi Mommy & Daddy! We had a good day today...Grammy & Grandpa traded off going to work and we got to play lots and lots. We played with Playdoh and had fun with little peg games too.
I made some really great little pink cookies with Playdoh....wish I could have eaten them!

Kai liked playing in the baby basket...she was so funny to watch as she crawled into that little basket and got herself settled in! I even got to go to the cabin with Grandpa in the afternoon and take a ride on the 4-wheeler while Kai stayed home and took a nap. When it cooled off in the evening we got to go to ANOTHER park! This one has such great swings and slides.
Do you think this expression on Kai's face is because she is having fun or maybe she just saw herself in the mirror! GIve Grandma a break....it was windy.

Kai can do everything just like a big girl. I think that is because she hangs out with me all the time.

I had SUCH a good time...no owies today! Tyler says "I went on the green slide really fast and the orange one really fast too. I went higher and higher and higher and higher....on the swings. Kai went really high on the swing too. I went on a little swing like Kai too. "

BYEEEEE!
